It's still Black History Month and our people are making major statements to celebrate. A new live streaming channel, BlackStream Live, was founded by the President of Live Nation Urban, Shawn Gee. The new channel has partnered with the Twitch Network focusing specifically on working with black creators.
BlackStream Live is now active and it allows viewers, according to Billboard, to tune in for livestream content including music performances, live podcasts, music sets, emerging artist jam sessions, and interviews with influential Black voices discussing important issues in Black culture. BlackStream Live also includes new shows produced by artists such as QuestLove, Kirk Franklin, and Masego.
Not only has the new channel partnered with Twitch Network but they are also in collaboration with DTLR for a cross-promotional partnership to further expand the network’s footprint and connect audiences with the culture.
