Motown Records Signee Smino Releases Visuals To ‘I Deserve’

Upcoming singer Smino, hailing from St. Louis, has been perfecting his musical craft since 2009. In the beginning of his career Smino started off in a rap duo, going by the stage name C. Smi, where him and his friend, Bari Allen, released three mixtapes. Not long after, after gaining local recognition, Smino went on to release his first solo mixtape, Smeezy Dot Com in 2012.

Since then, Smino has released multiple EP’s and mixtapes, leading to the release of his first studio album in 2017, blkswn. The release of this album skyrocketed Smino’s music career.

In November of 2021, Smino signed to Motown Records in partnership with Smino’s independent label, Zero Fatigue. Wasting no time at all, Smino released his first single under Motown called, ‘I Deserve’ featuring NOS providing the visuals only a week after the single‘s release. Smino provided some background to the new single via Twitter:

“Tbh I ain’t gave much of a fuck bout bein onna internet or eem bein a artist since bro left...I’m talented/blessed af tho so I can’t stop.. God gave me a lot to share so i did my best @ channeling this shit into sumn meaningful...”
