The Black Lives Movement still continues today with hope for change. With all the protesting that the world had done, all the cops that were involved with the murder of George Floyd have been arrested and the new Breonna Taylor law has been passed. Unfortunately, despite the progress that has been made there has been multiple incidents where black people are being killed for no reason. Currently in Georgia, protesters are taking a stand for Rayshard Brooks who was reportedly shot and killed by police for sleeping in his own car at a local Wendys in Atlanta. The cop has reportedly been fired from his job but the people are waiting for his arrest.
In support of the Black Lives Movement, some artists have been using their platform to discuss the injustice of police brutality against Black people. Artists from the likes of DJ Suede the Remix God, Lil Baby, Jim Jones, D Smoke, Juicy J, Da Baby, Gunna, H.E.R., Papoose, Meek Mill and so many others have been speaking up and using their voices.
All of us Black people only want equality and what is right. We helped build America and we should not have to feel frightened in a country we helped to build. It's a beautiful sight to see everyone come together to fight for what is right. To the artists who have the platform and the power to make a change and are making music to support this movement, we are forever grateful.
